Orantown Dental Centre is a family-centred dental surgery in the Orantown Shopping Centre in Oranmore, Co. Galway. We welcome all ages, seeing you through from your first tooth to your senior years. The original surgery started with Dorcas in 2001 and has grown in size and staff to two dentists and a dental hygienist. Our dentists are ably assisted by a team of dental assistants: Rosaleen, Sinead, Nicole Ruth & Katherine will look after you. Our aim is to guide you through your dental journey, whatever your needs may be. We pride ourselves in being particularly good with children, and with people who have a fear of the dentist or are nervous. About me
Dorcas graduated from UCC in 1993. She worked extensively through the UK, Australia and Nepal. In 2001 she returned to Ireland and opened Orantown Dental Centre. Over the past 20 years, this practice has continued to thrive and provide quality dental care. Dorcas specialises in providing general dental treatment and in conjunction with surrounding specialists, all treatments can be provided. Dorcas was very happy to receive the Colgate Connacht Caring Dentist of the Year award in 2019. She is well known for her ability to treat nervous patients. When not on the sidelines of a GAA pitch supporting her 2 daughters, Dorcas dabbles in running, sea swimming and the odd triathlon.

Dr Aideen Buckley graduated with an honours degree from University College Cork in 2017 and has since become a valued member of the team at Orantown Dental Centre. Originally from Cork, she has embraced life in Oranmore and is passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate dental care. Aideen particularly enjoys working with children and has a special interest in caring for nervous patients of all ages. She is dedicated to creating a calm, reassuring experience and helping patients feel at ease from the moment they arrive. Her gentle approach and focus on patient comfort allow her to build trust and support even the most anxious patients. Her goal is to help every patient achieve and maintain a healthy, confident smile in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Dr. Gráinne Hurley

Dr. Gráinne Hurley graduated with honours degree from University College Cork in 2017 and has been dedicated to providing high-quality dental care ever since. She spent seven years practicing in Galway before joining the Orantown Dental team in 2024.
Dr. Hurley believes in a patient-centered approach, taking the time to listen to each individual’s needs and concerns. She strives to create a relaxed environment where patients feel comfortable and heard. With a strong emphasis on preventative care and patient education, she empowers her patients to take an active role in their oral health.
Committed to continuous learning, Dr. Hurley regularly attends professional courses and conferences to stay at the forefront of modern dentistry.
When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll often find her exploring the rugged landscapes of Connemara on a hike or enjoying a refreshing sea dip

Since relocating to Ireland, Elizabeth has built a strong reputation for providing gentle, high-quality dental care. She is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit, taking time to listen to their concerns and tailor treatment to their individual needs.
